interACT @ its Europe 2019

interACT had a strong presence during the ITS Europe 2019. A Joint Special Session was organized along with BRAVE project and Trustvehicle, entitled “SIS43: Human-centred design of automated vehicle for a safe integration into mixed traffic”, which was held on 5th June 2019. During the session, Anna Schieben, the interACT coordinator from DLR, moderated the discussions about the cooperative interaction of automated vehicles with other traffic users among the speakers. The speakers, Evangelia Portouli from I-SENSE Group of ICCS, Anders Lindström from VTI, Daniel Watzenig from Virtual Vehicle Research Center, Matthias Beggiato from Chemnitz University of Technology, Stefan Cieler from Continental Automotive GmbH and Riender Happee from TU Delft, had fruitful discussions about the innovative designs of HMIs and strategies to ensure the cooperative interaction of automated vehicles with other traffic users.
The next day, on 6th June 2019, interACT represented by its coordinator, Anna Schieben, participated in another Special Session under the title “SIS45:Towards an integrative approach for safe and secure automated driving” where an overview of the project was presented.
