interACT@ the Automated Vehicles Symposium, San Francisco

The interACT project was successfully presented by Ruth Madigan from the University of Leeds as part of the “Judging a car by its cover: Human Factors implications for automated vehicle external communication” breakout session during the Automated Vehicles Symposium that took place in San Francisco, on 11-13 July 2017 │ San Francisco, USA. More than 40 participants attended this session, and showed high interest on the subject of the presentation entitled “Needs of Pedestrians Interacting with other vehicles”, particularly in relation to the examination of the 3-way communication between the on-board user, the AV, and the other road users.
